Nature’s Medicine

“We need to wake up and fall in love with the Earth.

Our personal and collective happiness and survival depends on it.”

-Thich Nhat Hahn

Fostering an appreciation for the natural world allows us to more deeply connect to ourselves, each other, and our shared histories. Cultivating a relationship with plants in our everyday life gives us a tool for Ritual - a place for exploring healing and developing a practice of honoring life’s thresholds.

Throughout our space, you will find the opportunity to cultivate intention and practice small Rituals. One such invitation will be a daily herbal offering. Blended with the season, the moon, and your heart in mind, our teas will offer us a place to connect with each other in a meaningful way.

Close your eyes.

Notice the way the subtle scent of Lemon Balm instantly lifts your spirits.

Notice the way the floral scent of Rose gladdens the heart.

Notice the way a cup of tea shared with a stranger creates instant connection.

WOMEN’S WISDOM: Natural Remedies for Common Ailments

Women have been serving in their communities as caregivers, wildcrafters and healers, passing down plant wisdom and intuitive knowledge for centuries. Join Yoga Teacher and Wise Woman, Jaclyn Gallo, for a workshop exploring how we can use natural remedies to find relief from some of the common ailments.  Topics may include hormonal shifts, pregnancy, and the postpartum, caring for the family during cold & flu season, and supporting seasonal allergies.

The experience will consist of  a short meditation, breathwork, and mindful movement practice meant to support the body with the evenings topic in mind. You will be offered adaptations to postures commonly offered during yoga classes that you can take with you into your personal practice or teaching.  We will then come together to discuss the how and why of some common discomforts and discuss natural remedies for these conditions drawing from a multitude of disciplines including yoga, western herbalism, and ayurveda.

Rotating topics offered throughout the Year. Register for our email list to stay informed!

Other opportunities to deepen your relationship with our herbal allies will occur through knowledgeable guest speakers and herbalists, workshops, and private sessions.
